Gravity Falls Happy Summerween! / The Convenience Store. . .of Horrors! Reviews
My family and I LOVE watching 'Gravity Falls' and my 6 year old son has been impatiently waiting for any Gravity Falls merchandise to hit stores. He was elated when this book arrived! I'm impressed with the size of this book, it's pretty thick because it's two stories in one and it comes with 52 stickers. The first story is from the episode 'Summerween' and it's exactly like the episode. Residents of Gravity Falls love Halloween so much that they celebrate it twice a year. Of course the first celebration is on October 31st and then again in June, hence "Summerween". While trick or treating, 12 year old twins Dipper, Mabel and their friends are threatened with doom by a scary monster if they don't collect 500 pieces of candy before the last jack 'o lantern candle goes out. Being a huge fan of Halloween, this is my son's favorite episode and story. Flip the book over and the second story is from the episode 'The Convenience Store of Horrors', which is also written exactly like the show. Dipper, Mabel and friends find themselves trapped in a convenience store that is haunted by the former owners who happen to hate teenagers and the kids must go through great (and hilarious) lengths to get out. Children who are younger or get scared easily may find this book too scary because of themes such as ghosts, monsters, etc. If your child isn't familiar with the show but enjoys spooky mysteries and kooky characters, then I highly recommend this book. For fans of Gravity Falls', this book is a must have!
